It's Only A Dream

Once upon the helter skelter
And then on the roundabout,
Though I loved the strange momentum,
That's when I began to doubt.

At the time it seemed so real,
What a roller coaster ride!
When they spun the ferrous wheel,
That's when my illusions died.

You lived through a dream.
It's only a dream. It's only a dream.

All the monsters on the ghost train,
Oh how scared they made me feel,
Made of bolsa wood and tinsel,
Like the dream I thought was real.

You lived through a dream.
It's only a dream. It's only a dream.

Dream a dream till the dream weaver changes the scene,
Till he changes the scene.

So I leave you in the fairground,
Hope that you have lots of fun.
No more tricks or magic mirrors,
'Cause for me the dream is done.

You lived through a dream.
It's only a dream. It's only a dream.
